How is it February already?! Raise your hand if you are ready for winter to be OVER and welcome warm weather with open arms?! ME ME ME ME!!!
Let's get to it.
one // Schmidt's Natural Deodorant
I have been on the hunt for over a year now for a natural deodorant. I made the switch but I have not been happy with all the different ones I have tried. Without too many details this is what I have found in my year-long quest in the natural deodorant realm. 1. It protects against odor but you sweat something fierce. 2. Protects against sweat and wetness but you smell like you're wearing natural deodorant (or frankly nothing at all). Obviously, I ended up just having to use option number 1 because I just can't with option 2. However, as a runner and someone who spends most of her days in a gym or on the track, that was not working for me either. ALAS! I have found a solution and I am singing its praises everywhere!! I have used 2 things of Schmidt's now and couldn't be more impressed. No stink. No wetness. AND I can buy it at Tar-jay (score score score!). It isn't overly priced, in my option, especially compared to others. I am all around so happy. So if you have been on the never-ending hunt like me, look no further. Run to Target and get some ASAP!
two // J.A Henckels Knife Set
I am embarrassed to admit this but I am terrible at sharping my knives. I mean terrible. Up until Christmas, my knives could not cut a potato without a jagged edge. A butter knife was sharper than my kitchen knives. It was sad and embarrassing and quite frankly not sure why I let them get so bad. Especially since that is my mother's number one kitchen pet peeve and I know better 🙂 But mom and dad came to the rescue and saved the day this Christmas with not only taking all of our knives with them and sharpening but my brother, sister, and I all got this lovely new knife set for Christmas! Let me tell you, you have no idea the beauty of a sharp knife until you haven't had one in probably 2 years and use a new set for the first time. It was so satisfying! These make me so happy every time I pull one out to use. So thank you, mom and dad, for saving the day (and for this awesome set 🙂 ).
three // Fig Bars from Run Fast Eat Slow
I LOVE fig newtons. I love fig bars. I love figs! So when I first read through Run Fast Eat Slow and saw their version of a fig bar, I bookmarked immediately and put it on my list to make ASAP. Justin and I have been loving these this month. I love to eat one in the morning with coffee or tea (especially on my 4:50 am wake up days when I need something light on my tummy but not a full meal) or pre-run/pre-lift. They are made with a blend of tahini, sesame seeds, almond flour, and whole wheat flour. It is a different twist that works so well. I have not made a bad thing from this cookbook yet and may be one of my favorite I own. If you're a runner you need to get your hands on this book.
four // UGG Robe
Guys. This robe. I live in it! If I am at home there is a 90% chance I have this on. Again, this is another gift from the awesome parental units for my birthday back in December and it pretty much hasn't left my body. It is like wearing a soft blanket all the time. It is warm and cozy and snuggly and pretty much the greatest thing in the world. If you're looking for a lounge around the house type robe look no further. UGG is surprising us all with something cute AND cozy (yes UGG boots, I am throwing shade at you....you UGly).
five // Bar Cart
Ok, I am just now realizing this as I type but this is another win and gift for the parents. 🙂 I should have named this "5 Favorite Gifts from my parents that I am obsessed with" ha! But seriously, this was my big Christmas gift this past Christmas. I have wanted a bar cart for the longest time but never found anything I have loved or would fit in our home. I kind of gave up the endeavor and we made due in a corner of our kitchen and counter area. They completely surprised me this year with this huge beautiful cart and it goes perfectly right outside our kitchen. It is much larger then it looks in the picture and it is very sturdy. Once we got it up and I styled it I loved it even more! It is such a fun way to display all of our pretty barware we have and a fun little statement piece everyone can enjoy the fruits of. They scored this beauty of Amazon for a great price so if you are looking for a cart this is a great option that I would highly recommend!

Happy end of February friends! What are some of the things you haven't been able to live without this cold, snowy and rainy month? Let me know!
