How to Fry a Turkey

Ingredients Needed:

One 12-14 Pound Turkey

4–5 Gallons of Peanut Oil

1 Stick of Butter 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder 1 Teaspoon White Pepper 1 Cup Cajun Spice Seasoning

Before you take the turkey out of the bag - place in your fryer and fill with water until the turkey is fully submerged. Take the turkey out and mark where the water line is. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT AND A MUST DO! This will help you know how much oil to put in the pot without anything spilling over when it is hot.

Inject melted butter in the turkey

Coat turkey with spices & store covered in the fridge for 24 hours

Let the turkey come to room temp for 30 minutes. Set up the frying station outside away from decks, wood, houses, etc. Place on cardboard for easy clean up later

Heat the oil  to 350 degrees.

Slowly lower turkey in the hot oil. Cover and set timer for cooking.

You will fry your turkey for 3 1/2 minutes per pound of turkey you have.

Once the timer is up, slowly remove from the oil and place on a baking sheet.

Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.

Let the oil cool for 24 hours before disposing. Toss cardboard and clean up pot and supplies when cooled.
