Description
If there's one thing you can count on at a Southern gathering, it's a table full of good food and at least one irresistible dip. This easy 5-layer taco dip checks every box with seasoned refried beans, sour cream, pre-made guacamole, salsa, and freshly grated cheddar cheese. It comes together in just minutes, is served cold, and is the kind of recipe everyone gathers around before the meal even begins.
Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) can refried beans*
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning*
- 1 (16-ounce) container sour cream
- 1 (1-pound) container prepared guacamole
- 1 (16-ounce) jar salsa*
- 1 pound cheddar cheese - freshly shredded
Instructions
- Place the refried beans in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1–2 minutes, until warmed through. Stir well with a spatula until smooth.
- Add the taco seasoning to the beans and mix until fully combined.
- Spread the seasoned refried beans into an even layer in the bottom of a 8x8 inch serving dish.
- Evenly spread the sour cream over the bean layer, taking it all the way to the edges.
- Spread the guacamole over the sour cream in an even layer.
- Spoon the salsa evenly over the guacamole.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips, or cover and refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Use any brand of your liking and preference for the ingredients. I like and use the following: Siete refried beans, Siete Taco Seasoning, Daisy sour cream, and Mateo red salsa.
