Description

This dessert dip is going to be a hit! An edible cookie dough loaded with old-fashioned oatmeal, peanut butter, mini M&M's, and all brought together with cream cheese to make it smooth and creamy. It is served cold and made in minutes. Serve as a sweet appetizer or dessert dip for any Southern party or gathering - I love scooping this up with animal crackers or graham crackers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 Ounces cream cheese - softened
  • 1 Cup butter - softened
  • 1 Cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ Cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup old fashion oatmeal
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini M&M's

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and butter. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat until smooth and creamy with no lumps remaining - at least 1 minute.
  2. Add the brown sugar and whip for 2-3 minutes. The mixture will become lighter in color and airy in texture.
  3. Add the sugars and heavy cream. Mix.
  4. Add the vanilla and salt. Mix
  5. Add in the oatmeal and mix together.
  6. Finally, add in the mini chocolate chips and mini M&M's and mix one last time.
  7. Scrape down the sides with a spatula and spoon into a serving bowl, and serve immediately with graham crackers or animal crackers, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
