Brioche French Toast

Description

Brioche french toast is a classic breakfast favorite that we all love. Eggy brioche bread soaked in a custard filling and cooked to a crisped to perfection on the outside.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 Pieces of Sliced Brioche Bread
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Cream*
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter - melted
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl add in the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk well until everything is combined. 
  2. Place a large skillet on the stove over medium-low heat. Add a tablespoon of butter to the skillet. (Keep adding more butter if needed to keep the skillet nonstick)
  3. Dip 1 piece of brioche into the egg mixture. Let soak for 5-10 seconds on each side.
  4. Immediately place in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side then flip and cook for a couple more minutes until each side is lightly golden brown.
  5. Repeat with all pieces.
  6. Enjoy with powdered sugar, maple syrup, and fresh berries.
