Is there anything better than homemade creamed corn? I don’t think so! This Southern-style dish features canned sweet corn mixed with all the good stuff: cream, melted butter, sugar, grated parmesan cheese, plus a hint of nutmeg. Cooked on the stovetop, the result is a ridiculously creamy and comforting side dish perfect for serving during the holidays or with Sunday supper.

- 2 - 14.5 Ounce Cans of Sweet Corn
- 1 Cup Cream
- 1/2 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
Instructions
- Drain the cans of corn
- In a large pot add all of the ingredients and place on the stove on medium heat. Bring up to a simmer/low boil.
- Once at a simmer, cover and turn to medium-low. Cook for 30 minutes until the liquid has thickened.
- Serve hot with freshly cracked black pepper and enjoy!
