Description
These frozen peanut butter stuffed dates are made with just 3 simple ingredients - natural peanut butter, soft pitted dates, and a sprinkle of flaked sea salt. Stored in the freezer and eaten frozen, they turn delightfully chewy and candy-like. A totally addictive snack. I personally eat one every single day, and they are a staple snack in my home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Pounds (or 24-36 ounces) Fresh Medjool Dates - pits removed
- 1-2 Cups Natural Peanut Butter
- Flaked Sea Salt
Instructions
- Slice each date down the middle (like a hot dog bun) and remove the pit and end stem. Open up so the inside is exposed.
- Pour some peanut butter into a zip-top bag. Seal shut and snip a tiny end off one of the edges creating a piping bag. Pipe out 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of peanut butter (depending on how big or small your date is) and stuff the inside of the date.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and repeat with the remaining dates.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Once frozen, place in a freezer-safe bag or container and keep in the freezer. Enjoy frozen!
Notes
- Make sure to stir up the peanut butter well since the recipe calls for natural peanut butter before piping it into the dates.
