Cream cheese and pepper jelly dip is put together in 2 minutes using only 3 ingredients - and is my #1 appetizer that I serve personally. No cooking is required, and this is served cold with Carr's water crackers. It is the perfect sweet and spicy appetizer to toss quickly together for any party.

2 plates of cream cheese spread out on them with green and red pepper jelly on top. Bell peppers and water crackers around the table.

Y'all. How has cream cheese pepper jelly dip not appeared on the blog until NOW?! We have lots of easy cold dip recipes on Fueling a Southern Soul - it's kinda like our Southern love language. 😉 So that this recipe is JUST now hitting the site is beyond me.

Let me tell you that there have been a SHAMEFUL amount of nights where I have eaten just this for dinner. Nothing else. Like too dang tired to care that I am just consuming cheese and carbs for dinner and 100% love every bite. Same with the cranberry jalapeno version of this recipe. I honestly highly recommend it; no one is judging you. Life is hard and busy - eat cream cheese and pepper jelly for dinner!

    Annnnyyywwaaaayyyyssss...enough on that little tangent.

I have loved this recipe forever. Recently, I just shared homemade sweet red pepper jelly and sweet and spicy green pepper jelly that my mom made all the time growing up. If you come to my house, open my fridge, and look in the door there will ALWAYS be a jar of pepper jelly in there. We always have cream cheese stocked because it's a staple in our house. And I cannot forget to mention the real MVP, my favorite, and my weakness...Carr's Water crackers (that can be found in the pantry - third shelf and to the right to be specific 😉 ). PS - It has to be Carr's brand, no other brand lives up.

a hand dipping out cream cheese and pepper jelly on a plate.

This is also easy to double or half depending on how many people you have enjoying this. If it's just Justin and me, I'll do half a block of cream cheese and about a couple of spoonfuls of jelly. But if you have a big group of people, make a big batch with 2 blocks of cream cheese and the appropriate amount of jelly.

Spread a cold block of cream cheese in a thin layer on a large plate or platter.
A plate with cream cheese spread out on it and pepper jelly on top.
Spoon over 4-8 ounces of pepper jelly on top (the ratio depends on whether you like more cream cheese or more jelly) - serve with crackers.

The amount of jelly you use is totally up to you. The ratio depends on whether you like more jelly or more cream cheese. You choose!

You get the drift. This is easy. Simple. Quick. And SO FREAKING GOOD! This is one of our favorite appetizers and a family staple for years - I know y'all will love it.

    Description

Cream cheese and pepper jelly dip is put together in 2 minutes using only 3 ingredients. With no cooking required, this is served cold with Carr's water crackers. It is the perfect sweet and spicy appetizer to toss quickly together for any party.

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 8 Ounce Block Cream Cheese - cold
    • 4-8 Ounces Red Pepper or Green Pepper Jelly
    • 1 Box Carr's Water Crackers

    Instructions

    1. To a large plate or platter, remove the cold cream cheese from its packaging and place it in the middle. Spread out into a thin layer on the platter.
    2. Spoon over the pepper jelly on top of the cream cheese.
    3. Serve with Carr's Water Crackers around it and enjoy!

    Notes

    • This is best served right away.  It is easy to double or even half depending on how much you need. I wouldn't recommend keeping any leftovers - just make a new plate and serve it fresh.
    • Any store-bought pepper jelly can be used if you do not want to make your own.
