Y'all. How has cream cheese pepper jelly dip not appeared on the blog until NOW?! This is beyond me! Let me tell you that there have been a SHAMEFUL amount of nights where I have eaten just this for dinner. Nothing else. Like too dang tired to care that I am just consuming cheese and carbs for dinner and 100% love every bite. I honestly highly recommend it, no one is judging you. Life is hard and busy - eat cream cheese and pepper jelly for dinner!
Annnnyyywwaaaayyyyssss...enough on that little tangent.
I have loved this recipe forever. Recently I just shared homemade sweet red pepper jelly and sweet and spicy green pepper jelly that my mom made all the time growing up. If you come to my house, open my fridge, and look in the door there will ALWAYS be a jar of pepper jelly in there. We always have cream cheese stocked because it's a staple in our house. And I cannot forget to mention the real MVP, my favorite, and my weakness...Carr's Water crackers (that can be found in the pantry - third shelf and to the right to be specific 😉 ). PS - It has to be Carr's brand, no other brand lives up.
Besides the occasional dinner for myself, this is my #1 go-to and most served appetizer to anyone who comes over. It requires no cooking and takes 2 minutes to assemble, and I always have everything I need stocked. It is the perfect combo of sweet and salty, creamy and crunchy, and just pure love. If we have friends are family coming over for dinner or any occasion, I toss this together on a big plate and set it on our island as we all gather in the kitchen drinking wine, talking, and waiting for dinner.
I love seeing everyone in my home, relaxing, and enjoying bites of pepper jelly dip with a glass of wine. It's the perfect nibble before any meal is served. OK - I need to stop. I can keep going about it - so let's make it!
Key Ingredient Call-Outs
You only need 3 ingredients for this recipe, which can (and should be) pantry and fridge staples.
- 8 Ounce Block Cream Cheese
- 4-8 Ounces Red Pepper or Green Pepper Jelly
- 1 Box Carr's Water Crackers
How to Assemble
This is really a no-recipe recipe. Just spread some cream cheese out on a plate, spoon over the pepper jelly, throw some crackers around it, and call it a day.
This is also easy to double or half depending on how many people you have enjoying this. If it's just Justin and me, I'll do half a block of cream cheese and about a couple of spoonfuls of jelly. But if you have a big group of people, make a big batch with 2 blocks of cream cheese and the appropriate amount of jelly.
The amount of jelly you use is totally up to you. The ratio depends on whether you like more jelly or more cream cheese. You choose!
You get the drift. This is easy. Simple. Quick. And SO FREAKING GOOD! This is one of our favorite appetizers and a family staple for years - I know y'all will love it.
