I don't know anyone who doesn't love a rice Krispie treat. But today we are switching things up and switching out the Rice Krispies for your favorite cereal for Cereal Marshmallow Bars!

A simple switch of cereal can be a fun treat for any occasion. Use any cereal you love with a little bit of butter, marshmallows, salt, and vanilla for a quick, simple, and delicious treat!

Cereal Marshmallow Bars sliced on parchment paper with extra marshmallows around

    Ingredients for

    • 1 Stick Butter
    • 10 Ounce Bag of Mini Marshmallows
    • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
    • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
    • 6 Cups Cereal of choice (Lucky Charms, Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Chex Mix, Reese's Puff, etc)
cereal, a bag of marshmallows, butter, salt and vanilla on a white table

    How to Make

    1. In a large pot, add 1 stick of butter and melt on medium heat.
    2. Once melted, remove from heat and add marshmallows, salt, and vanilla stirring constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted.
    3. Add in the cereal of choice and stir until everything is mixed thoroughly and no dry cereal is left.
    4. Press into a 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper (or any size pan you have, I used one that is around 7x10. The smaller the size the thicker and smaller the bars are).
