Bowls of chocolate mousse with chocolate chips, brownies, and square graham crackers are arranged in a neat pattern on a blue surface.

Ok y'all - I live with a BIG chocolate fan. My husband has the sweet tooth in the family (I mean, the toddler never says no either...we really had to cut him off the dunkaroo dip lol), and I couldn't do this summer cold dip series without having a chocolately something in there for him.

This one is so easy. Rich and smooth and creamy. Made in just 1 bowl with staple baking ingredients, and it makes a perfect no-bake dessert to serve at any party - or really just to enjoy at home with all of your favorite people. 🙂

⭐️ Before you start - pro tip ⭐️ make sure you set your cream cheese AND butter out on the counter to soften for at least 30 minutes before you begin. This will make it WAY easier to mix and make it really smooth and creamy. Have I not done this and mixed cold? Yes. Have I not done this and stuck them both in the microwave and melted slightly? Yes. Do these things still work and taste the same? Yes. But you will never get the smooth, no-lump texture that room-temperature butter and cream cheese will give you. Trust me, I know from too many lazy times 😉

Add the cream cheese and butter to a bowl.

Beat with a hand mixer for at least 60 seconds. You want this to be smooth and creamy.

A blue bowl with partially mixed chocolate and white cream is on a granite countertop. Nearby are a salt container, a jar of vanilla extract with its lid off, and a hand mixer with batter on the beaters.
Scrape down the sides with a spatula, then add in the vanilla bean paste, salt, and cream.
A blue bowl with chocolate batter and a mound of white powdered sugar sits on a granite counter. An electric hand mixer with beaters coated in batter rests on the bowls edge. White tile backsplash is visible in the background.
Add in the rest of the powdered sugar.
A blue bowl with thick chocolate batter and a green spatula on a granite countertop. An electric hand mixer with chocolate residue is in the background.
Mix for at least 1-2 minutes. It will start to lighten in color a bit and become very fluffy and smooth.
A blue bowl with chocolate cake batter topped with chocolate chips sits on a granite countertop. A green spatula rests in the bowl. An electric mixer with chocolate on the beater and a fork are nearby.
Scrape down the sides again and add in your mini chocolate chips.
