Y'all, this 5-minute cream cheese and praline dip is pure Southern bliss! Made with a rich, homemade bourbon praline sauce drizzled over a dreamy whipped cream cheese. It's the perfect sweet appetizer for your holiday spread. Serve it up with crisp apple slices, graham crackers, or even gingersnaps, and watch it disappear quickly! Recipe yields enough for 8-10.

    I love a good dip!

If it isn't obvious - we are big dip people here at FSS! Honestly, I feel like I could have a whole site with cold dips and baked dips.

As a proper Southern host, I always have something stocked in my fridge to whipped together a quick dip for a friend coming over or to bring with us somewhere. It's usually cream cheese and pepper jelly dip because red pepper jelly is ALWAYS on hand in our home.

But this holiday season I was feeling a festive and a little extra and wanted something a bit elevated and SWEET. So I poured my homemade bourbon praline sauce over a simple whipped cream cheese and MY GOODNESS!

    It was a hit!

It was something about the richness of the praline sauce over that cold cream cheese that was a bit savory and sweet in each bite that had me doing a little jig in the kitchen.

Because you can keep the praline sauce in your fridge for 2 weeks, this is simple to have on hand when you need an appetizer for whatever occasion. Just warm back up in the microwave - pour over the whipped cream cheese, and serve with graham crackers, water crackers, or even apple slices. Let me show you how I did it!

Welcome to my real kitchen, lets make this together!

⭐️I tested this recipe a couple of different ways and I found it best to use VERY softened cream cheese. I like to leave mine out on the counter for at least an hour to bring to room temperature. This helps it whip up super easy and creamy. If it's too cold it will be hard to get that light and fluffy texture. If desired, you can pop into the fridge to chill before serving - which is delicious! You will have the cold whipped cream cheese with the warm praline sauce on top - YUM!! It's my favorite way to eat it!

Add in your whipping cream and salt and mix again. This will make the most soft and lusious whipped cream cheese of all time!

Spoon into a shallow serving dish and spread into an even layer. Pour some of the praline sauce over it and serve!

This will be a delicious addition to any holiday party but also great for year-round entertaining. Since dips are usually savory - surprise your guests with a little something extra sweet!

    Description

Y'all, this 5-Minute Cream Cheese & Praline Dip is pure Southern bliss! Made with a rich, homemade bourbon praline sauce drizzled over a dreamy whipped cream cheese. It's the perfect sweet appetizer for your holiday spread. Serve it up with crisp apple slices, graham crackers, or even gingersnaps, and watch it disappear quickly!

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • Bourbon Praline Sauce
    • 8 Ounces Cream Cheese - softened to room temperature
    • 2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
    • Pinch of Salt
    • Graham crackers, ginger snaps, water cracker or apple slices for dipping

    Instructions

      1. In a medium bowl, add the softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer and mix for 1 minute until no lumps remain and it is smooth.
      2. Add in the heavy cream and a pinch of salt. Whip again until smooth and fluffy.
      3. Spread the whipped cream cheese mixture evenly onto a shallow serving platter in an even layer.
      4. Generously pour the bourbon praline sauce over the top. Use as much or as little as you desire.
      5. Arrange graham crackers, ginger snaps, water crackers, or apple slices around the dip for easy dipping.
      6. Serve this dip right away.

    Notes

    • If desired, you can pop the cream cheese layer that has been spread out into the dish back in the fridge to chill for an hour or so before serving. That was it's cold and then the warm dip will sit on top making for a delicious combo!
