    Orzo Salad with Chili Lime Vinaigrette

    Orzo Salad with Chili Lime Vinaigrette is a quick and easy pasta salad. Everyone will love this buttery orzo dressed in a zesty chili lime vinaigrette.

    Who doesn't love an easy dish and one that is carb dominant?! Orzo Salad with Chili Lime Vinaigrette hits all those things and you're going to love it!

    We make 5 Ingredient Watermelon Orzo Salad ALL THE TIME during the summer so I thought it was time to do another orzo salad with a savory twist this time!

    Ingredients Needed for Chili Lime Vinaigrette

    This dressing is super simple. All you need is

    • olive oil
    • red wine vinegar
    • the zest and juice of 3 limes
    • chili powder

    Throw all of this into a mason jar, shake really well, it and it's ready to be used!

    How to Make Orzo Salad with Chili Lime Vinaigrette

    1. Make orzo according to package directions. Place in a large bowl.
    2. Add in quartered tomatoes and feta and the vinaigrette. Stir.
    3. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir. Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed. Enjoy!

    This comes together in 15 minutes or less from start to finish.

    Is Orzo Served Hot or Cold?

    Either one or even at room temp! When you drain the orzo after cooking nd assemble the salad, it makes a delicious hot pasta salad that can be served as a side dish alongside Kale Caesar Salad with Baked Salmon, Sous Vide Pork Tenderloin, or Parmesan Chicken.

    This also can be left at room temp if needed or make again, pop in the fridge, and enjoy cold. All options are delicious!

    How Long Do You Cook Orzo for Al Dente?

    Orzo cooks pretty fast since it is a small pasta, which is a huge bonus for this delicious grain! Cook for about 9 minutes for al dente.

    How Long is Orzo Salad Good For?

    Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Since this can be eaten cold too it makes for great leftovers!

    Is Orzo Pasta or Rice?

    Orzo is a short grained pasta that is the shape of rice.

    You can find it in the pasta isle of your local grocery store.

    Ingredients

    Salad

    • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    • 1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
    • Zest and Juice of 3 Limes
    • ¾ Teaspoon Chili Powder

    Chili Lime Vinaigrette

    • 6 Ounces Orzo, cooked to package directions
    • 1 Cup Cherry Tomatoes, quartered
    • 6 Ounces Feta Cheese
    • Salt and Pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    Vinaigrette

    1. Add all ingredients to a mason jar. Place the lid on tight and shake vigorously to combine everything.

    Salad

    1. Make orzo according to package directions. Place in a large bowl.
    2. Pour the Chili Lime Vinaigrette over cooked orzo.
    3. Add in quartered tomatoes and feta. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir. Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed. Enjoy!
