Cookie and Cream Rice Krispies

Cookie and cream rice Krispies is a fun chocolatey spin on a childhood classic! Regular rice Krispies packed with Oreo cookies and a white chocolate drizzle. All in under 30 minutes.

In my opinion, rice Krispie treats are one of the most underrated desserts of all time! They are so good! And so stinking easy to make. And is a childhood classic that everyone loves.

Today we are taking the classic recipe and taking it up a notch with some Oreo cookies and white chocolate ... and let me tell you what, these are so so good! And I am not even an Oreo fan (gasp - I know 🤷‍♀️). But these didn't last 24 hours in the house when I made them. I even had to make an extra batch to send with Justin to share at work.

So the next time the craving hits or you need an easy dessert, you won't regret making cookie and cream rice Krispies!

Ingredients Needed

Box of Rice Krispie cereal, bag of mini marshmallows, box of Oreos, salt, butter, vanilla and a bar of white chocolate.

How to Make

  1. In a large pot, add 1 stick of butter, marshmallows, vanilla, and salt on medium - medium-low. Cook until the butter and marshmallows are melted together - constantly stirring to mix well until smooth with no marshmallow lumps remaining.
  2. Add in Rice Krispie cereal and 1 cup of crushed Oreos, and stir until everything is mixed thoroughly and no dry cereal is left.
  3. Press tightly into a greased 9x13 pan.
  4. Melt white chocolate slowly over a double boiler. Drizzle chocolate on top of rice Krispies in the pan. Immediately sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of crushed Oreos on top.
  5. Let cool and set for about 30 minutes, or pop in the freezer for 5 minutes, then slice.
  6. Enjoy!

Pro Tip - I like to grease the bottom of the 1 cup measuring cup I use for the rice Krispies and use that to press down the bars tightly in the pan. It works so well and they do not stick to your hands or spatula.

Variations

If you want to switch it up, you're not just limited to cookies and cream flavor! Try these fun flavors with any of the following Oreo cookie flavors:

  • Mint Oreos with chocolate drizzle
  • Birthday Cake Oreos with white chocolate drizzle
  • Chocolate Stuffed Oreos with chocolate or white chocolate drizzle
  • Peanut Butter Oreos with chocolate drizzle
  • Golden Oreos with white chocolate drizzle

Basically any Oreo flavor you like with chocolate or white chocolate drizzle depending on the flavor.
